Cartridges
The
NewsFlash system enables
GE Communicators to periodically inform employees about features and
key news stories inside employee newsletters and within the intranet.
One secret to the rapid deployment is the NewsFlash
"Visual Cartridge" which
plugs effortlessly into the Newsflash and into online and print publications.
We call it a "cartridge" because the NewsFlash system dynamically
pulls the modular group of visuals into each week's new version and
animates it automatically.
Each
week the editor provides HoloCosmos with the story list for the following
week, along with any photos that may be applicable. We then create
a striking thematic visual that supports the essence of the story
and create a complete Visual Cartridge containing:
A
large image suitable for intranet or print
A
main image for the NewsFlash feature
A
thumbnail image for the NewsFlash synopsis
A
FilmCell image for the NewsFlash Filmstrip Slider
Our cartridges can also let publishers swap animations, story headlines
and synopses, music, video clips and other components on a weekly
basis. GE Publishers are able to use a simple Windows application
to add, subtract or modify components of the NewsFlash or select from
layout template alternatives if necessary. Additional cartridges can
be prepared by HoloCosmos to spec.
